The department averages around 120 calls per year of which approximately 40% are motor vehicle accidents (MVA's). For rescue calls, the department responds in conjunction with the local paramedic service. Some responses even require traveling by fixed wing or helicopter to scenes in remote areas. With active oil/gas and forestry industries in the area, the department must often use different approaches to access scenes. |
